There is a steamer that is covered in stainless steel which takes about four minutes to get its heat up and begin to produce steam out of it’s thirty ounce boiler which you hang over your shoulder. This is done by using a strap so your hands are free to maneuver the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner.

This steamer isn’t just designed to used inside your home, it was also designed to be used outdoors as well. Some of the uses range from steaming wrinkles out of your wrinkled clothing to those jobs in the bathroom and kitchen which would normally involve using a lot of elbow grease to get the job done.

Some of the accessories that come with the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner are an assortment of attachments that include a brush for floor cleaning, a squeegee attachment for window cleaning that can also be used on tiles, and the doors of your shower. But does it really work as advertised?

According to many reviews at various online merchants, they are quite mixed as one would expect from an infomercial product. Let’s start with the good:

One of the larger benefits that they have seen in a professional setting is that they are able to clean with one hand directing the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner while their other hand is free.

Another reviewer stated that for the price you pay (around $100 depending where you buy) that you just can’t beat the quality of the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner. Worked just as advertised and that the materials used in construction is quality. Moreover the simplicity of use is what gets a lot of people excited.

However, there are a lot of negative reviews out there on the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner

Interestingly enough, another person who runs a food prep business had also put the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner to the test when it came to cleaning their kitchen and supplies. Keep in mind that this is a food prep business so they handle a lot of raw meats and other food items that need to have clean working surfaces to reduce bacteria born illness.  In this persons case, the quality of the machine was good except that it wasn’t powerful enough for their needs. After about one week the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner decided give up and was non-functional.

However, one thing to keep in mind is that the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner was never designed to be used in a commercial setting and that heavy, daily use in that type of environment would probably wear down a machine that was designed to be used in and around the home occasionally at most.
